Numerical study of different micro-channel structures on fluid flow and heat transfer performance

Abstract This research mainly proposed three new types of micro-channel heat sink structures. Numerical simulations and simulation calculations were carried out on the structure. The groups inlet flow rates used as main variables to analyse sinks, model characteristics transfer performance. In addition, it was compared with traditional rectangular (RT-MCHS). Based RT-MCHS, microchannel reverse concave (RC-MCHS), co-directional (CC-MCHS) convex (CRC-MCHS), designed studied numerically. comparative analysis MCHS design performance includes fluid characteristics, efficiency. effects velocity Darcy friction coefficient, pressure drop, Nusselt number, average outlet temperatures efficiency factors numerically from 1 m·s-1 5 m·s-1. results show that optimal strategy in is CRC-MCHS, which can hinder enable sufficient exchange between liquid substrate. at rate 3 m·s-1, water temperature CC-MCHS lowest, indicating electronic components best.
